The Texas Jewish Historical Society
The purpose of the Society shall be
to collect, preserve, publish and disseminate materials having
reference to the settlement and history of Jews in Texas and their
participation in its social, economic, religious, political,
professional and cultural growth. Please read about the history
of the Society.
The Texas Jewish Historical
Society welcomes any information you might have concerning Texas
Jewish History. Please send any and all such information to our
address above. We will acknowledge and document the sender and place
the information in the Center for American History archive at the
University of Texas for public access. We thank you for keeping our
heritage alive.

The TJHS draws its membership from across the
country and supports a wide-ranging agenda. Quarterly gatherings are
held at various locations throughout the state, an extensive
Newsletter is published quarterly and a Speakers Bureau is

variety of research projects is facilitated through the Jewish
Archives in the Center for
American History, or supported directly such as "Virtual
Restoration of Small-town Synagogues in Texas."
